Chekkalu - Pindi vantalu(Snacks)




Ingredients:

Rice Flour : 2 cups
Ground Nuts : 2 tbsp
Bengal Gram(Chana dal) : 4 tbsp ( Soak in water for 1-2 hrs) (optional)
Curry Leaves few
Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tsp(optional)
Salt : 1 tsp
Green Chilies : 6
Water : to make dough
Oil : for frying


Preparation:

Bring water to boil and add cumin seeds, chilli paste, salt and turn the heat to low. Slowly add flour to the water while mixing well. Add butter and mix again. Make sure that there are no lumps.Mix together rice flour, ground nuts, Bengal gram.

2.Sprinkle enough water and knead the mixture into soft and stiff dough.

3.Divide the dough into lime sized balls. Flatten each ball into a disc using your fingers and palm.

4.Heat oil in a skillet and deep-fry the discs till golden brown. Fry more than one at a time. Fry until it turns become golden brown.Store in an airtight container.

Let them cool for few minutes to become crispy.
