Chana(shanaga) dal Halwa

Ingredients
1. Chana Dal (Split skinless chickpeas:250 gr
2. Ghee (Clarified butter): 150 gr
3. Cashews split: 10
4. Almonds Slivered: 10
5. Sugar: 150gr
6. Whole milk: 500ml
7. Cardamom seeds: ½ teaspoon
8.Raisin:

Method:

1. Soak chana daal in water for 2-3 hours.
2.Boil soaked chana in milk till totally cooked. Blend it into a paster adding milk to it.
3.Heat a heavy bottom pan make sugar syrup,add chana paste ,milk& stir well till most of moisture is gone.turns to slighty brown color.
4. Add Cashews and Almonds,fry for couple of more minutes.
5. Add cardomom. Bring to a boil. Turn down heat. Keep simmering till the mixture is thickened to a nice lose dough.
6.Halwa is ready serve ,hot or cold in both the way it tastes yummy.
