Carrot Chutney


Ingredients:

carrots -5 or 6 (grated/cut small pieces)
green chillis - 5
urad dal - 1 tablespoon
chana dal - 1 tablespoon
mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
tamarind - a small size
salt - to taste
oil - 1 tablespoon

Method:
1.Take a pan - allow it to heat and pour the oil
once its ready put mustard seeds and add
chana dal first - when its little golden
add urad dal and hing powder - when all
become golden brown, keep this aside.
2.In the same pan pour little oil and add green
chills and carrot add salt - allow it to
cook for 4/5 minutes
3.Take all these into a mixer along with
tamarind - grind it coarsely .
4.In a pan heat oil, pop mustard seeds, then add jeera, dry red chili, curry leaves and hing. Pour this seasoning on top of the chutney and mix in.
