
Ingredients:
2 cups rice
1/2 cup moong dal
a small pinch hing
curry leaves
10 cashews
2 tsp pepper
2 tsp cumin seeds
Ginger Fresh 1' inch piece finely chopped
Ginger dry 1' inch or 1 tsp
2 tsp ghee
1 tsp salt

Method:
1.Coarse grind the pepper corns.
2.Heat a Pan & dry roast rice & dal nicely.
Wash & add enough water.
3.Add Cumin , Gingers , hing & pepper powder
& 4 tsp ghee. Cover & allow to cook nicely.
4.If pressure cooking wait till 4 whistles.
5.Fry Cashews in a tsp ghee & garnish with
pongal.
Serve hot as a light meal.
