miriyala charu / pepper rasam


INGREDIENTS REQUIRED :

black peppers / miriyalu : 15
dry red chillies :2
corioander seeds : 1 tspns
cumin seeds : 1 /2 tspn
tamarind : 2 or 3 cloves
garlic cloves :4
salt : 1tspn
jaggery : little
turmeric : 1/4 tspn
curry leaves : 15
coriander leaves : 4 strings
water : 1 tumbler / 250ml
toordal : 1tspn

Preparation :

1.Slightly roast all the ingredients for rasam masala(black peppers,dry redchillies
corioander seeds,cumin seeds,garlic,curryleaves,toordal)and grind to a fine powder.
2.Heat oil in a pan and season mustard seeds. When they splutter, add all the other ingredients for seasoning and fry for a few minutes.
3.Add tamarind dissolved in water, chopped green chillies, turmeric powder, salt to taste, sugar and 1tsp of rasam powder. Bring to a boil, add coriander leaves and curry leaves. Remove from fire after few seconds.
