Onion Chutney


Ingredients:

Fresh grated coconut - 1/2 cup
Green chili - 2
Ginger - 1/2″ piece
Coriander leaves a handful
Curry leaves 1-2 strings
Onion - 1 medium sized
Tamarind a little

Method:

1.Grate coconut and keep it aside
2.Wash green chili, Coriander leaves, curry leaves, pealed onion and cut them.Fry chopped onions in 1 tablespoon of oil, till transparent. Set aside.
3. Mix all the ingredients and also add tamarind and salt to it.
4. Transfer all the above ingredients into the mixi/blender bowl and grind it to a medium coarse consistency.
chutney is seasoned with mustard, red chili and curry leaves.
serve with dosais, pongal or chapattis.
